Coaches Corner
Frank D. Telenko, Jr., Head Coach
This year, I will begin my 17th year of coaching bowling here in Elizabethtown. Since bowling became a PIAA sport in the LL League, I have been the only coach of the team. Year after year, the Bears are among the elite teams of the LL League.
We have won six Section Titles, and coached Girl’s District Singles Champions, Beth Moyer, Kayla Halbleib, and Olivia Farwell, two Regional Singles Champion, Austin Farwell and Olivia Farwell. We’ve won the Ice Breaker Tournament, added a Lancaster Lebanon League Championship to the trophy case in 2013 and a STATE CHAMPIONSHIP for the Girl's Team in 2014!!!
In 2017, our Girl’s Team had a great season. We were Eastern Regional Champions, 3rd in States, and 6th place in Nationals in Tennessee. Olivia Farwell was LL League Champion, District III Champion, Eastern Regional Champion, State Champion and National Champion!!
In addition to coaching the HS team, I also spend time coaching the Jr. Bowling Program at Clearview Lanes. I enjoy the friendships and camaraderie involved in coaching and sincerely value the teaching aspect of coaching.
With a degree in Math Education, I graduated from Shippensburg University and completed my Master’s Degree from PSU in 2007 with a concentration in Teaching & Curriculum. There is no doubt that I am dedicated to Elizabethtown. I am quite involved in the school activities and enjoy supporting all students in the district.
I am married to Cindy and have four children, Alyssa-29, Austin-25, Andrew-18- and Alaina-16.
